My Review:
Evangeline, she's such a shy and anxious person. Just coming out of a relationship with the most obnoxious man ever. Her best friends convinced her to get back out there and flaunt her thang, make the ex squirm in his shoes with what he's missing. Little did Evangeline know, her life was about to take a turn .... when she meets the sexy and dominant, Drake.
Drake is your typical mysterious alpha male, he likes to be in complete control of everything. He's feared by many, he has women falling at his feet but he's not interested in keeping them for long... until his eyes find a gem in his club, Evangeline.
I loved how these two characters met, I felt their fire come to life when they first laid eyes on each other. A steamy, drama filled story that will keep you hooked from start to finish. I must warn you that there is a cliffy so prepare yourself lol. I just adore Maya Banks, she seems to release one great story after another. If you are a fan of her work I recommend checking out this new series, even if you're not, it's a great place to start.
